Apex Professional University (APU) was established under the Apex Professional University Act (No. 7 of 2013) by the Government of Arunachal Pradesh.It is recognised by the UGC and empowered to award degrees (section 22).The campus, spread over 20+ acres in Pasighat, lies in a valley near the Siang River, surrounded by hills, providing a serene, pollution?free environment conducive to learning.APU combines the philosophy of Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) with contemporary sciences, with particular focus areas in yogic sciences, Vastu, Ayurvedic / naturopathic studies, architecture, law & forensic sciences, education, management, pharmacy, nursing, paramedical sciences, etc.It offers UG, PG, doctoral (Ph.D / D.Sc / D.Litt in selected areas) programs.The infrastructure includes labs, libraries, WiFi campus, separate hostels for boys & girls, and research centers equipped with scientific instruments for studying domains such as Indian Health System, architecture, management systems etc.The university holds regulatory approvals from bodies such as BCI, NCTE, PCI, APNC for relevant programs.In its recognition & approval page, APU clarifies that it is a statutory university under PPP, included in the list of approved universities maintained by UGC & AIU, with no affiliate institutions beyond the main campus.
